Pumpkin Spice Chex Mix | Fall Foods
Every Christmas since I can remember my mom would make the most delicious white chocolaty Chex mix. In fact, it was so yummy that we started calling it "Christmas Crack". In celebration of the first day of fall, I decided to give this Christmas Crack recipe a fall twist and make a pumpkin spice version. I must say, it is just as tasty and addicting!
What You'll Need:
- Rice Chex
- Corn Chex
- Wheat Chex
- Pretzel Sticks
- Archer Farms Pumpkin Spice Pretzles ( at Target)
- Vanilla Candiquik
-Pumpkin Pie Spice
- Festive Sprinkles ( I chose fall leaves )
- Microwave
- Wax Paper
- Cookie Sheet
Step 1
Measure two cups of each Chex mix. Pour into bowl and mix together. It should be six cups of Chex total.
Next measure one cup of the plain pretzel sticks and one cup of the pumpkin spice pretzels. Mix them in with the Chex.
Step 2
Melt 1/2 package of Vanilla Candiquik. The package is 1 lb so melt 1/2 lb.
Mix Pumpkin Spice into Candiquick after it is melted. Whatever amount your taste buds prefer. Do a taste test. I used about 1 1/2 tbs.
Pour melted Candiquik into Chex and pretzel mixture. Mix with spatula.
**This stuff is VERY sensitive, so make sure not to over melt it because it will change into a strange texture. I checked it every ten seconds and stirred it every time. Once it is melted, it is ready.
Step 3
Pour mix onto a baking sheet with wax paper on it.
Melt another cube of the vanilla Candiquik and add pumpkin spice.
Drizzle melted sauce over the Chex mix.
Top with festive sprinkles, this adds a nice fall touch.
Final Step
Let Chex mix dry for a few hours. When fully dry, break the pieces apart and enjoy!
