Staycation Denver Colorado | Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center Review

Sometimes a break from your routine is the very thing you need, and sometimes that break is right in your own backyard! I feel so blessed to live in such an amazing city, Denver is booming right now and let me tell you the city is alive! There are so many things to do and see, there’s amazing food to try and wonderful places to stay.

Over my birthday weekend we had the opportunity to stay at the newly renovated Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center, and we were so impressed. The service was impeccable, they really did such a great job making us feel special and welcomed. Not just at the hotel and for our room, but at the restaurants as well. When you go, make sure to say hello to Baris (the director of food and beverage) and Michael at Root25 Taphouse and Kitchen. They took such good care of us! And of course Soham the general manager was so welcoming and accommodating! Everyone at the hotel was so eager to make our stay the best it could be, and we really appreciated the level of care and service they provided.

We had visited this hotel for an event a few years ago, and I was shocked when I walked in at the difference from the renovations. It truly does feel like a different hotel, a new hotel. They renovated all 451 guestrooms, the lobby and public spaces. From the pool to the gym to our room, everything felt modern, clean yet cozy and comfortable. If anyone is ever in town, especially on business around the tech center area in Denver the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center really is the premier hotel in the tech center.

The hotel offers two places to get food, Root 25 Taphouse and Kitchen, and Perks. Perks is a spot to grab coffee and on the go meals or snacks. I had their egg white wrap and it was delicious. Root 25 is a sit down restaurant. I’d highly recommend the shrimp tacos and Nick and I loved sharing the cheese plate to start (pictured below). The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Nick had a side of truffle fries which we all enjoyed, so yummy! They also have an amazing breakfast at the hotel (if you haven’t, check out the video I made to see how great the breakfast is), they offer a buffet or you can order items off the menu. Their buffet was so impressive that we saw no need to order off the menu, except a latte (of course). The food was delicious and I loved the little details of the buffet, like the little yogurt and granola parfaits, the little shots of cottage cheese (Giulian’s favorite), and the little smoothie shots (pictured below). We’ve been to many a hotel breakfast and the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center ranks up there with the best of them.

This Hyatt Regency is located in the Denver Tech Center (DTC), southeast Denver, which is a wonderful part of Denver to stay for a few reasons. You are just a quick drive to Downtown Denver and also Park Meadows Mall area. We went over to Park Meadows during our stay and had a blast doing a bit of birthday weekend shopping. Park Meadows has just about every store and every restaurant you could want, and it’s just about a 15 minute drive from the hotel. There are also wonderful restaurants just a few minutes from the hotel, some even walking distance. The hotel really is in a great spot to be able to explore Denver.

It’s easy sometimes to take your own city for granted. Denver has been our home for most of our lives and its easy to forget what the city has to offer when you are here all the time and busy (kids, business, work etc), so it was really a nice treat to be able to have a fun birthday weekend staycation in Denver and get a fresh look on our own city. If we ever have more events in the tech center, we are no doubt going t stay at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center again. It was a really great experience for us and it helped make my birthday weekend that much more special.

Overall, we had such a wonderful staycation at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center and would recommend that hotel for anyone who lives in the area or anyone visiting. It’s the perfect hotel for people in town on business, families or even couples looking to getaway for a romantic weekend. The hotel is updated, modern, clean and extremely comfortable and their service really does stands out.

Thanks again Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center for hosting us! We can’t wait to come back!
